Hopital de la Californie. That’s the name of the clinic I was born in in France. As if California—and L.A. in particular—beckoned me from birth.

Growing up the son of journalists in a village down the road from Cannes, the magic of film-making was always in the air. For years, the walls of my bedroom were plastered with production stills from all the films that my dad would cover at the festival.

The Studios de la Victorine is the old production lot in Nice where, at 11 years old, I had my first experience with film-making, acting in Roger Avary (Pulp Fiction co-writer)’s Mr. Stitch. It was then that I fell in love with the medium.

I went on to study Film and Drama at the University of Kent, in Canterbury, England, before pursuing a Master’s in Acting at the Central School of Speech & Drama in London.

The love of storytelling—and of the craft—has sent me studying method acting with Jack Garfein in Paris, touring plays at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and starting Obviam Entertainment, my own independent production company here in LA.

After devoting time and energy to start a family—something I always wanted to do—I am recommitting myself to the business with a sharpened sense of excitement, focus and energy.

From my first L.A. gig playing the victim in a family-run sex trafficking ring on Nip/Tuck, to my most recent role as an cocky detective in Muti (starring Morgan Freeman), I’m fascinated by the dreams and desires that compel us to act the way we do, and the journey of those who veer off course, allowing their darker selves to get the better of them.

That rift between light and dark—at times a clear delineation but more often a blurred and nuanced border—drives my curiosity and is at the core of the stories I look forward to telling.

After twelve years in LA, I’m excited to also be exploring creative opportunities back in France and the rest of Europe, as well.

When I’m not geeking out on films, TV shows and theater, you can find me goofing around with my wife and two kids, enjoying nature, cooking a meal, or looking for the next cup of coffee.
